Located two blocks from the Capitol, across the street from the Republican headquarters, two blocks from the Democrats, and a couple doors down from some powerful lobbyists, it figures that this is the Mexican power lunch. It also becomes the Mexican power happy hour. The bbq chicken quesadilla is a favorite, as is the lobbyist picking up the tab (wait, new rules took effect, sorry poor Hill staffers!) One of the best chefs in the country opened up one of the best power lunch spots in the country. In fact, I would venture to say the food at Central is almost more appealing (and certainly cheaper) than Chef/Owner Richard’s Citronelle, which we find overrated.
