This is where a lobbyist buys his goodfellas big plates of pasta and they go away happy. As happy as Jimmy, Henry and Tommy in Tommy's mama's house. Now go grab your shinebox. (trivia: Tommy's mom is played by Martin Scorcese's mom, did you know that? sneaky) Open Mon-Thu 11:30am-10:30pm; Fri 11:30am-11pm; Sat 5:30pm-11pm

Galileo is Chef Roberto Donna's flagship restaurant, so you know it's good. The atmosphere is cozy, yet modern, Italian and if you have deep pockets you can reserve a table in the kitchen--that will bring you to a whole new level of respect....and isn't that what we're all looking for? very 'sneaky' place... Open Weekdays 11:30am-2pm, 5:30pm-10pm; Sat 5:30pm-10:30pm; Sun 5:30pm-10pm

Café Milano is the source of many legends. Whether it is a chance encounter with a celebrity (Heellllooo Bo Derek!) or a sneaky encounter with a mature woman or gentleman, elected or not, this place delivers on scene. But guess what? They deliver on food too. Recently, the Pope visited DC and he had one dinner catered for his special friends, and guess who catered it? Yup, Café Milano. The choice of Popes! So, if everyone who is anyone loves it, and the staff treat you like a rock star, even if you are not, and if you get to hang out with rock stars, doesn’t that mean this place is the best? One food tip, if ordering a pizza, get the one with the truffles. We would not steer you wrong. We love Café Milano and we’re not afraid to tell everyone. Open Mon-Tue 11:30am-1am; Wed-Sat 11:30am-2am; Sun 11:30am-11pm

You like it fancy don't you? You want a place that will bring you fresh mozzarella and tomato because you are too good to have it just piled on your pizza? Oh, and you don't want to pay a lot because you're also cheap. Hit up Capitol Hill for a great Italian feast worthy of Napoli. Open Weekdays 11am-3pm, 4:30pm-10pm; Sat 10:30am-2pm, 4:30pm-10pm; Sun 10:30am-2pm, 5:30pm-10pm

Big family dinners at Filomena will make you feel like the Godfather. Unlike Fredo though, you'll live to tell people about the best Italian food in the city with the old Italian woman kneading pastries in the window. Drop the gun, grab a canoli. Open Daily 11:30am-11pm

For $65 you get a fixed-priced five course meal that will make you feel like you are the guest in a well to do Italian home. It has been around for a while, but hasn't lost its spice yet. Open Tue-Sat 6pm-10pm
