Cashion's is the best restaurant in the city. There, we said it. The menu changes daily and it reflects seasonal attitude with the personal memories of its namesake and propietors. It's not the fanciest restaurant (try the Willard Room for that) and its not the most expensive....it's just the best. Open Tue 5:30pm-10pm; Wed-Sat 5:30pm-11pm; Sun 11:30am-2:30pm, 5:30pm-10pm

By bringing the cajun elegance of New Orleans and Lafayette to Washington, Acadiana has given all of us a nice break from steak and potatoes. All of the entrees are delicious, but the real winner is the biscuits and jelly served to you immediately after you sit down. Open Mon-Thu 11:30am-10:30pm; Sat 5:30pm-11:30pm

As Denny Green would say: It is what we thought it would be damnit! Normally, we stray against sending you to places that have multiple locations, but Charlie Palmer does it right in DC. Charlie Palmer knows how to present a great meal, and with a location in crawling (and viewing) distance to the Capitol, you'll probably be sitting next to a Senator or two, so bring your bribin' money! The wine, the windows, the roof for big-time parties, and the food - heck, good luck gettin' a table. Hint: click below and start tryin'. Open Weekdays 5:30pm-10pm; Sat 5pm-10:30pm

Galileo is Chef Roberto Donna's flagship restaurant, so you know it's good. The atmosphere is cozy, yet modern, Italian and if you have deep pockets you can reserve a table in the kitchen--that will bring you to a whole new level of respect....and isn't that what we're all looking for? very 'sneaky' place... Open Mon-Thu 11:30am-10pm; Fri 11:30am-10:30pm; Sat 5:30pm-10:30pm; Sun 5pm-9:30pm
Eve

We love a restaurant that doesn’t let its quality get in the way of its customers. Restaurant Eve is our new favorite Virginia restaurant and is quickly making its way up the charts to knock some DC favorites down a peg. Located in beautiful Old Town Alexandria, Restaurant Eve has amazing food, and delivers it in one of three settings, the casual walk-in bar, the trendier bistro that is perfect for a date, or the tasting room which is where the serious eating and drinking occur. The menu is built for a foodie with ingredients painstakingly selected and variety being essential. We are new to Restaurant Eve but quickly learning to love it, much like you can tell the husband and wife team of Cathal and Meshelle Armstrong love their passion.

Any fine dining list must include the place that Al Pacino would've gone on his last day in the city in Scent of a Woman. If that movie had been in DC, he would have gone to The Willard Room. Elegant five-star surroundings make this the place to spend those really special nights. Live it up and then celebrate at the Round Bar afterwards....the stuff that makes evenings historic. Open Weekdays 7:30am-10am, 11:30am-2pm, 6pm-9:30pm; Sat 6pm-10pm

Traditional outlets will tell you this is the #1 restaurant in the city, but we just don't see it. Feel free to debate us over email at wedonta.reallycare@sneakysunday.com. Citronelle has the creative dishes that most reviewers crave, and honestly, they do taste very very good. But when we sit down to a fixed price meal that costs over $400 for two, we expect extraordinary. Citronelle does not deliver extraordinary. And frankly, it could use some re-decorating. This is your #1 fine dining restaurant alright...circa 1996. Open Mon-Thu,Sun 6:30am-9pm; Fri-Sat 6:30am-9:30pm
