The Source is Wolfgang Puck’s latest creation. Have you heard of him? Located behind DC newest and best museum, the Newseum, the Source is the new go to place for power lunches, and power dates. With two floors of varying menus and reservation policies, there is something here for everyone, including a decent bar. We are usually skeptical of big names opening up satellite restaurants, but we are convinced after meeting the incredibly talented executive chef and tasting his creations. Wolfgang has taught this apprentice well. Spago who?

Hands down, the best pizza in the city in one of the nicest atmospheres to match. There is a guaranteed wait for a table here, but the brick oven gourmets are insane and the exposed brick wall inviting. In Chinatown, there would be only one sanctuary for Sneaky Sunday patrons, especially now that they're finally open on Sundays! Open Mon-Thu 11am-10pm; Sat 11am

We fell in love with Nora when we first walked in, and we mean both the restaurant and the namesake. This was the first certified organic restaurant in America, so it probably is healthy, right? Fresh bread, fresh produce, fresh menus daily. This is a health conscience food critic's dream. And the atmosphere is perfect and homey for that first date where you pretend you actually do care about your health.

Nestled in a sneaky corner of the theater district, Minibar at Café Atlantico delivers on wonderful portions, inviting atmosphere and delicious Latin cuisine. Because of the setup at Café Atlantico (it’s on the second floor of Atlantico) it makes it even sneakier.

The Tabard Inn has been around forever and so it has had the luxury to have some great chefs call their kitchen home. In other words, some DC legends were born in the cozy confines of this dupont home/restaurant. Whether it’s summer and you sit on the patio, or it’s winter and the fireplace is roaring, this is a great date place.

In Georgetown this relatively new restaurant gives you many areas to hide in, and many cozy tables for a private conversation. Its unisex bathroom is already a DC legend (um, two people probably shouldn’t go in a stall together…probably). The food is okay, and the drinks/bar are good, but the atmosphere makes this place what it is. The ladies love it. Open Mon 12am-2am, 5pm-2am; Tue 5pm-2am; Wed-Thu 11:30am-2am; Fri-Sat 11:30am-3am; Sun 11am-12am
