LOOKING FOR THE

Best Outdoor Shopping in Washington DC

There is a reason why the residents of Georgetown refuse to allow a subway stop to be built near them. It's because they don't want the riff raff ruining their amazing set up. Great shopping, great restaurants, great people to look at. It's got it all so head on over....if you're worthy. If taking a bus, just quit and go home, bus rider.
Ever wonder how George Washington did his Sunday shopping? Where did he buy cute presents and have coffee? Did he enjoy a tall ale after looking through doggie boutiques? Old Town is the quintessential small 1700's town that is great for a weekend stroll and buying things to set on that table in the hallway or the shelves in the dining room.

Eastern Market was great...before it burned down in early 2007. Because they're rebuilding and the farmers are still on the block doing their best to keep it real, we'll keep them at #2. When fully operational this place has great meat, vegetables, flowers and stuff you will someday resell in your very own garage sale.
Starting at the White House, and working your way North on Connecticut Avenue will yield great shopping results. We recommend stopping at Tiny Jewel Box for an amazingly one of a kind jewelry store, Brooks Brothers for a blue button down, Pink for a pink button down, Burberry for something plaid, or Kramers Books for that out of print Dukakis memoir. Dukakis/Kerry '08!
