The Hotel Monaco is the poster child of new boutique hotels. They have a hip restaurant and bar, lots of crazy art and unique rooms fit into a federal building that wasn't meant to be a hotel. The biggest complaint? You need breadcrumbs and an elevator ride to use the bathroom from the restaurant/bar. Why they haven't fixed this, we will never know...
