Town Hall is a quality bar on Fridays and Saturdays. Good people, good access to the bar, plenty of tables and corners to duck in and espn on the TVs if you need something to distract you from whatever that girl is saying. Sunday afternoons are comfortable and pleasant at Town Hall. It's not rocking like its peak nights, but there is a good crowd. NOTE: Town Hall should be called Kevin Bacon's because everyone is a couple of degrees seperated from one another, so be wise not to piss one person off, as the whole bar could soon be wanting your head....and not in the good way. Sunday - Thursday 5:00pm - 10:30pm Friday 5:00pm -11:00pm Saturday 11:30am -11:00pm Sunday 11:30am - 5pm

-"You didn't get into the Point?" -"Uh, I didn't even try, that place is overrated and full of turbos, Daily is so much better." Saturday night, this is the first 10 miles of the marathon between 9 and 11:30 pm. Thursdays....well....do you have a Lacoste shirt? A brooks brothers credit card?? Do your parents fund your apartment so you live near the jetsetters despite a $30k income??? Well then this may be the place for you on Thursday night. It's good looking people making the connections necessary to move ahead in life. Where this crowd runs off to at 11pm is probably the place to be late night. Check out our other categories to find out! Open Mon-Thu 6:30am-11pm; Fri-Sat 6:30am-12am; Sun 6:30am-10pm

Bourbon is another quality weekend watering hole although it can get overwhelmingly cramped quickly on certain evenings. With some limited outdoor seating and fresh air filling the lower level, it can be a decent escape. However, you still must have your lacoste shirt on to gain full membership. Open Mon-Thu 5pm-2am; Fri 5pm-3am; Sat 11:30pm-3am; Sun 11:30pm-midnight

Smith Point is clearly one of the best places to meet quality folks, drink plenty of RBVs and either score or stumble out at 3am; however, you aren't getting in so move on to #2. Ok, we'll give you one tip - if you're a guy, be very polite to the doormen, say as few words as possible, and don't give up after they tell you you have to be on the list....give up after they say it twice. Head back to Daily Grill where all the other people who didn't get in are drinking. Smith Point is the exclusive 'on the list' bar in Georgetown that usually hosts charity nights on Thursdays where $10-15 will let you see the place that turns you away on Friday or Saturday. Open Thu-Sat 6:30pm-11pm

The Guards is one of those places that captures everything that is right about DC. Vintage wood decor, smart bartenders and a legitimate Georgetown vibe. It also is full of drunk outsiders, conceited insiders and groups of platonic friends. Here's the bottom line, DC has stereotypical nightclubs where P.Diddy wannabes hang out, but you don't want us sending you there, do you? This place has a downstairs dance floor that has been circled by eager dudes for decades looking for young Georgetown ladies. When 'Crazy Game of Poker' comes on, jump in before That Guy beats you to it, or just hit on your girl "friend" you came with. Why not? Open 11.30a-11p Su-Th, 11.30a-midnight F-Sa

Josephine’s is the new ‘on the list’ spot in DC. Many folks complain about lists and bouncers and exclusivity. Not us. If you can’t make it into the club then you need to learn how to give the guy a twenty, look the part and be a respectful person. This place costs a penny for the bottle service and bar is slightly inaccessible but clubs are about who you see, not what you drink so Josephine’s is making things happen in normally pedestrian DC. We like the trend.
