Pool tables multiply like amoeba at this underground billiards hall in Dupont Circle. If pool is what you're looking for...well...we hope that's working out for ya. No seriously, pool is fine...just messin' with ya. Not a bad way to kill some time while you polish off a few cold ones, we know. Actually, not a bad meat market here either. Open Mon 12am-1am, 4pm-2am; Tue-Thu 4pm-2am; Fri 4pm-3am; Sat 1pm-3am; Sun 4pm-12am

All the things you love about Cap Lounge, plus three pool tables. Play for money, but keep the bets to $5 or below. That's how much that intern makes in a week. Open Mon 12am-2am, 3pm-2am; Tue-Thu 3pm-2am; Sat 10am-3am; Sun 10am-12am

Okay, okay, this bar should probably be #1. It is the perfect bar for playing pool, having a well made cocktail and hanging out with good looking people. It’s upscale, clean and new. All items that most bars with pool tables lack. But, here it is, we just don’t like U Street. Don’t like the attitude. There, we said it. What started off as an blighted city revival project is now just a snooty Obama for President festival for 6 blocks. So, this bar is our #1, if it were located downtown and not on condescending U Street. Sorry Cue! Open Mon 12am-2am, 6pm-2am; Tue-Thu 6pm-2am; Fri 6am-3am; Sat 4am-3am; Sun 4am-12am

Rocket Bar is bringing art deco pitchers and pool to Chinatown and it seems to be catching on. They have plenty of room to stretch out, some good size televisions and the pool tables get the job done. And it is located across from the Verizon Center so it is perfect for before or after the game. On the downside, it’s in a basement, so forget natural light, and they don’t have a kitchen, but they do allow you to bring in takeout from other places, which is either really cool or really weird. The jury is out. Thankfully, NASA had nothing to do with the Rocket bar, so it is run well.

It's connected to a lousy DC strip bar called Archibald's. So if you're into that, you can feel assured that, as you walk back into the sunlight, people will believe you when you say "I sure sunk that 8-ball!" Alright, bad one... Open Mon 12am-2am, 11am-2am; Tue-Sat 11am-2am; Sun 11am-12am

Frankly, if you're playing pool here, you're probably either A) with a group of friends already (meaning like more than 2), or B) thinking of things to do with your cat tomorrow. I guess you could just be really into pool (just end it already).
