On weekends, the 'Best Happy Hour' category really just means the best day drinking places...the essence of the 'sneaky' lifestyle. In the bar made famous by St. Elmo's Fire, this is the place for a cold beer after walking around Georgetown endlessly on a Sunday. Even if you've been out of college for years, it will take you right back there. Get your hands off of my wife! Open Mon 12am-2am, 11:30am-2am; Tue-Thu 11:30am-2am; Sat 11pm-3am; Sun 9:30pm-12am

Russian spies once traded secrets in the front booth of this Georgetown waterfront watering hole. Commies. Nevertheless, this bar holds up as a good Sunday drink and eat door front. Open Monday-Thursday 11:30AM-2:00AM

Despite the name, this is actually a great place to watch the games in the afternoon. There are the obvious drink specials, but be warned that they cater to Red Sox nation. So if you're a Yankees fan, you may want to steer clear, unless you want to re-enact A-Rod slapping the ball away or crying in the dugout. Definitely an easy place to have a sneaky Sunday. Open Tue-Thu 9pm-2am; Fri 5pm-3am; Sat 9pm-3am

If you're going to pre-drink at a bar and not at a house, pre-drink here....particularly on Fridays (and Saturdays too). Sunday afternoons are comfortable and pleasant at Town Hall as well--I mean, it's not rocking like its peak nights, but there is a good crowd and are plenty of plasmas with your game on...and great bar food. However, you are probably going to run into a Colts fan who loves them because they won with his girlfriend wearing a pink Manning shirt. Ignore them. By the way, remember when we lived on the Hill and went to Bully's, the Coast and the Lounge? Ha! Those were the days. Pass the guacamole. Open Weekdays 5pm-10:30pm; Sat 11:30am-11pm

You can start, middle and end at Whitlow's. The great thing about this chameleon is that it usually matches the tempo you're looking for. Good music on weekend nights, good brunch in the mornings. What do they have to offer you on weekend afternoons? The answer is a decent place to relax with a beer, a small tv and a pool table. Open Mon 12am-2am, 11am-2am; Tue-Fri 11am-2am; Sat 9am-2am; Sun 9am-12am
