In a suburban corner of Alexandria, this fairly average bistro-pizzahouse has a nice sized bar that offers a great beer selection internationally as well as domestic microbrews. The crowd can change from night to night but there is usually a few folks around worth talking to. Unfortunately the waiters are the only thing that deter us from future visits, but the bartenders are great, and isn’t that all that counts? Every city has one of these. They have every beer known to man, from all over the world. Finally, a place to go where you can tell your friends all about Belgium Lambic while they drink their Abita Amber and mock you. On the plus side, the place feels like a German beer garden which is nice.One important note: Good looking people just do not frequent Brickskeller. I don’t know the explanation but the crowd often resembles the folks who hung out in the common area of the dorm instead of at the local bar. Ever walk into a place and stare at 200 different types of beer from all over the world, just to settle on Pabst Blue Ribbon? We have, and most likely we do it here because this place has PBR written all over it no matter what beers they surround it with. A great restaurant with a great bar selection. Everything from Duff to Duvel, they'll find it and pour it in the proper glass. And that's a good thing because you'll be at that bar for 30 minutes trying to get a table! oh look, the 2 foot by 2 foot nook by the door is open, grab it! Open Mon-Sat 11:30am-11pm

This place was downgraded when they replaced the Rockland's bbq outlet with average bar food. However, it has plenty of tvs to watch the game, lots of air from its open garage doors and enough beers to keep you satisfied. I know, I know. Anyway, this place is a dive in Dupont Circle worth checking out. Plenty of places to pull up a stool that has leather missing and stuffing falling out and order the beer of your choice.
