Keegan's Seafood Grille
1519 Gulf Blvd Indian Rock Beach, FL 33785
727.596.2477
Maybe it is a limited category, and seafood that's both fresh and creative is always rare on our beaches. Yet Cesar Labrador always adds smart sauces and sides to the best he can get from local boats. Plus you get picnic table seating, beer, paper napkin hospitality and down-to-earth prices.

Disappointing, not what was featured on Food Network

4/26/2008 Posted by Largo resident

We have lived in the area for over 5 years and had not yet tried Keegan's. After seeing it on Food Network, we thought we had missed out on a local favorite and decided to try it today for lunch. I ordered the CharBroiled Amberjack sandwich for $8.95. It came with either pasta salad or home fries. I chose the pasta. The fish was ok. The portion of pasta salad was huge but not very good so I did not eat much of it. My husband ordered the Blackened Grouper dinner for $17.95. It came with home fries, vegetable and bread. My husband asked if he could have salad in place of potatoes & bread due to his diet. They said no, but they could give him double vegetable instead of potatoes. His double vegetable was 2 broccoli trees instead of one and they were cold. His fish was very small. He could have ordered the sandwich and just not eaten the bread. It would have been cheaper. The grouper was partially undercooked and the blackening seasoning was not spicy at all. Atmosphere and service both blah. We will not return. We will stick to places we've enjoyed like PJ's, Shell's, Salt Rock Grill or The Pub.
