The Embudo Station is really hidden – it’s located between Santa Fe and Taos so a drive is required! You’ll be traveling through pristine high desert country which is distractingly beautiful so remember to keep a look out for the place! It lies within feet of New Mexico’s Rio Grande River and is shaded by enormous cottonwoods! Outdoor dining on the riverbank, the menu varies from dishes representative of Northern New Mexican cuisine to Embudo’s own smoked meats and barbeque! Full bar also – there’s a brewery and winery, float trips available in season and even a cool guest house for rent! Definitely worth putting on your sneaky calendar! Hours – April-October only!
