This Hayes Valley Coffee shop is the best in the city. They serve their coffee our of a garage in a ally but if you have trouble finding it just look for the line. Everyone drinks their coffee on the curb if the two chairs at the counter are not available. You really feel like your in the know when hanging out. Yuppies to hipsters are lined up to hit up this coffee place which is catching fire as many of the restaraunts in the city Open Weekdays 7am-5pm; Weekends 8am-5pm

This north beach coffee house is the best in the well known Italian neighborhood. A very chill environment so grab a coffee and a SF Weekly or guardian to check out the events for the weekend. Computers will be out with someone possibly writing their next novel in this small coffee shop. Smaller than most of the other places in north beach but has created a few other locations in the city.

Part of what makes this little cafe/bakery so special is their attention to using fine ingredients. They utilize organic espresso and creamer for coffee drinks as well as organic flour, sugar, and eggs for their pastries. If you want more than a nice cup of coffee, they also serve full meals.

Friday Music Nights brings a nice crowd to Dolores Park Cafe. Everyone loves to sip on a little coffee or tea while listening to some local bands. They also serve delicious vegan desserts here, which tend to be hard to find. They are so good that even non-vegans order them!
