Squeeze Inn is truly number one in the Sac area when it comes to burgers. Make sure you have a few extra minutes, as you will wait for that AMAZING burger....but it is 110% worth it. Seating is a bit of a squeeze (pun certainly intended), but it makes the experience what it is. Go hungry…. portions are huge! Open Weekdays 10am-6pm; Sat 10am-4pm

Jim-Denny's is a dive style hole in the wall must. The staff is friendly and you really get to know you neighbor as your sit on you bolted down stool. The biscuits and gravy were especially good and the pancakes are the size of China. On the last hour before closing on a Saturday, there were only a few customers sitting inside but the phone-in orders were ringing off the hook. Price was just right for a breakfast of this size. Then comes lunch/dinner.... The burgers are made fresh in front of you... and your mouth waters the entire time! Open Mon-Tue 6am-3pm; Wed-Sat 6am-9pm

This place has become a true staple in my diet!! Burgers, Pizza, Wings....everything is good. Their Pete’s Deluxe, served on a french roll is truly amazing. I'm not joking when I say that every time I go to Pete's I order a large Purist to take home and eat the next day. Fresh tomatoes, garlic, mozzarella, feta and parmesan cheeses make this Italian classic one of the best around. If you can fit it in...try the wings for an appetizer.

If you are looking for meat....try Hamburger Mary's. While they do offer veggie burgers, why even try! Known for their fun and friendly atmosphere...this midtown restaurant attacks a large audience. The spicy fries are a great addition to a good burger. Open Weekdays 10am-10pm; Weekends 10am-12am
