Dawson's American Bistro is located inside the downtown Sacramento Hyatt and is a stone’s throw away from the Crest Theater. Dawson’s’ is known for their seafood and meat. The grilled swordfish salad is amazing as are many of the of their menu items. If it is brunch you are craving, relax to the live piano player and enjoy the delicious classics. A nice little bonus….valet parking is free (up to 3 hours).

The ambiance is 100% romantic and elegant. Location on a hill in Fair Oaks Village up on a hillside it is a Sacramento favorite for wedding dinners, prom dates, and anniversary dinners. Slocum House is also known for a wonderful brunch…I highly recommend the french toast! If you are sitting outside on the patio, you just might have the opportunity to meet one of the Slocum locals (Rooster & Chickens).

Who wouldn’t want to start their weekend morning off with an all-you-can-drink champagne brunch on a riverboat docked off the riverfront of Old Sacramento? The Delta King brunch offers your tradition American fare coupled with a fresh seafood table. The service was great and very attentive. pen Mon-Thu 11:30am-9pm; Fri-Sat 11:30am-10pm; Sun 10am-9pm

This relative new comer to the Sacramento area, located in the posh Quarry Ponds shopping center has already made an impression with its locally grown fresh and seasonal fare. You will not doubt be impressed with the detail presentation of each plate. Owners Michael Fagnoni and his wife Molly Hawks met each other while cooking at the acclaimed Village Pub restaurant and provide an elegant atmosphere and knowledgeable friendly staff. The ricotta pancakes topped with toasted pecan butter were a huge hit at our table. Definitely have dessert at Hawks…no matter what time of day it is.

A perfect place for the while family. Huge portions and fresh squeezed OJ are just a few of the charming characteristics of Venita Rhea's. Good food equals a good wait on Saturday and Sunday, but it is well worth it (try calling ahead). I had a self proclaimed chicken fried steak snob with me and he was highly impressed.
