This old brick building with high ceilings is a Sacramento morning hot spot. This British style pub is a local favorite for breakfast and often has a line (they do not take reservations). With a full bar as you walk in, you can sip a mimosa or bloody mary while you wait for a table. The menu is packed with creative English and American dishes. The service is busy keeping the food and drinks moving to keep the wait as short as possible. Regardless of what you get to eat, try a fresh scone with Devonshire cream. AMAZING!! Jim-Denny's is a dive style hole in the wall must. The staff is friendly and you really get to know you neighbor as your sit on you bolted down stool. The biscuits and gravy were especially good and the pancakes are the size of China. On the last hour before closing on a Saturday, there were only a few customers sitting inside but the phone-in orders were ringing off the hook. Price was just right for a breakfast of this size. Then comes lunch/dinner.... The burgers are made fresh infront of you... and your mouth waters the entire time! Open Mon-Tue 6am-3pm; Wed-Sat 6am-9pm

The name says it all....Eggies knows EGGS! This 70's style diner serves up huge plates...so come hungry. Even though they have plenty of seats, it’s hard to find one Sat and Sun from 9am to 11am. The arrival of my monster veggie omelet made the wait well worth it. Give this place a try - you'll be glad you did. Open Mon-Sat 6am-3pm; Sun 7am-3pm

Waffle Square Country Kitchen is very reliable breakfast choice. The servers are extremely personable and will indeed make sure you have enough coffee - which nearly makes up for the quality of the coffee itself. The food itself is tasty and fast. Their menu covers the breakfast basics and they do a good job on everything. The place was filled with an eclectic mixture of folks but the wait was pretty short. Expect to leave STUFFED!
