Great Italian Food - 7-2-08

I tried 518 West last week. It was recommended several times by locals and my hotel staff. The food was good. Atmosphere was nice, not overly fancy. 518 West is known for their homemade pasta selection. I ordered the Lemon Linguine with sea scallops and shrimp. It was recommended by the waiter and I admit I was skeptical at first. The lemon flavor was light and blended well wtih the seafood, olive oil and garlic. I really can't comment on the service, because i ate at the bar. However, the bartender was very friendly. I was surprised at the beer selection. They had a wide selection of micro-brews. They also had an extensive wine selection.
