Jerky's has a very diverse crowd, but always fun. It is really low key and has cheap prices. The bar has a beer special every night and a drink special. Most often they have Guinness, Hoegaarden, Sam Adams, Magic Hat, Harpoon, and Bass on tap. Also make sure and check out there website because they have live entertainment. This isn't exactly a dive bar, but it isn't what I would consider a classy or upscale bar either. Regardless, it is worth the trip to Richmond Street.

All around great place to hang out and is located in the Jewelry District. There are lots of pool tables and a small outdoor bar area. There are also some TVs and a lot of space, making it a perfect place to watch a game. Sometimes they have local bands come in and play. They have fixed it up a lot, so it's not exactly the dive it use to be but it's a great lounge/pool hall. Hours: Open Mon 12am-1am, 4pm-1am; Tue-Thu 4pm-1am; Fri 4pm-2am; Sat 6pm-2am; Sun 6pm-12am

Bradley's Café is a great place to hang out with young college students and some locals. It is a small neighborhood bar that has lots of regulars. Some may consider it a dive bar, but it has cozy atmosphere and great staff. It's right near the Providence College campus.

Small bar on Smith Street near the Capitol building. The crowd at Pat's Pub includes after work mix, college students, politicians, and other locals. On Sunday you have to check out Karaoke! It's lots of fun!

Out of all the bars listed in this category, I consider this the typical "dive" bar. There are lots of random pieces of furniture and the bar attracts a very random crowd. It's very casual and relaxed. There's an old juke box, pool tables, and a pinball table. It's a no-frills bar with a great beer selection.

A really quaint local pub. It has a few TVs and a pool table in the back bar. I wouldn't go here for a big Red Sox Yankees playoff game, but it is a great place to watch a game while grabbing a bit to eat. They have a pub type menu with lots of sandwiches and appetizers, but also have dinners and salads as well. Drink prices are reasonable and they even make a great martini. Hours: Open Mon 12am-1am, 11am-1am; Tue-Thu 11am-1am; Fri-Sat 11am-2am; Sun 12pm-12am
