FREE ADRIAN CRUSH CONCERT AND APPEARANCE BY XTREME SCHEDULED NOV. 22 AT OUTLETS AT ANTHEM
Latin recording artists Adrian Crush and Xtreme will appear during Latino Vibe Entertainment Day from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at Outlets at Anthem.
The free event, sponsored by Latino Vibe 95.1, is part of the Outlets’ Christmas tree lighting weekend Nov. 20-22. The center’s 80-foot tree, Arizona’s largest, will be lighted Nov. 21 and holiday entertainment and shopping discounts will be featured throughout the weekend.
Adrian Crush, who blends his roots in Tejano music with major influences like Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake, will perform in concert during the afternoon.
Born Adrian Garza in Indio, Calif., he began performing at age nine as lead singer and accordionist with Tercera Generacion, a family-formed Tejano band. After fulfilling the band’s recording contract, Crush went on to follow his career goal of composing and recording songs in English.
His debut album, “New Beginning,” independently sold more than 12,000 copies and generated a rapidly growing fan base. He has opened for rappers Baby Bash and Pitbull and is working on new material for his next release.
Also appearing that day to sign autographs are Danny D and Steve Styles of Xtreme.
The group fuses the “tipico” bachata sounds of the Dominican Republic with the R & B and urban sounds that Danny D and Styles grew up listening to in the Bronx.
After receiving the award for Best New Group at the 2006 Premio Lo Nuestra Awards stemming from their first hit, “Te Extrano,” Xtreme released their second album, “Haciendo Historia,” featuring 13 original songs including the number one hits “Shorty, Shorty,” “Adonde Se Fue” and “No Me Digas Que No” which features Adrienne from the Cheetah Girls. The album sold more than 200,000 copies and went platinum. It was also nominated for Billboard Latino’s Tropical Album of the Year.
“Just like our fan base, we are constantly evolving and incorporating new sounds and hot concepts into our music,” said Danny D. “We write for our fans everywhere.”
Xtreme has appeared on some of the most popular TV programs in Latin America and the United States including multiple appearances on “Sabado Gigante” and “Despierta America.”
