In true Stephen Starr fashion, Morimoto delivers on both food and ambience. Which is to be expected when an Iron Chef is your chef, and a world-renowned interior designer is your interior… well, you get the point. The short of it: Sushi, yum. Tasty drinks like the Lotus Blossom, yum (don’t let the name or the floating orchid fool you… it’s packed with gin.) Appetizers a la carte, yum. One word of warning: if you order the spicy king crab, tuna pizza, and rock shrimp tempura apps, you won’t have much room for sushi. But do it anyway. They’re all perfection. Like we said before, you have to pay to play at the uber-hip Morimoto. But it’s worth every penny.
