If there is one thing we are famous for in Philly other than cheesesteaks, it’s the Italian Market. Located near the Market that Rocky made famous as he sprinted through its streets in South Philly, George’s offers quick service, unforgettable taste, and obviously a wide selection of meats – we should let you know our favorite is anything involving their Italian sausage, which is enough to make any vegetarian cross back over to the dark side.

K&A’s is not as well known, but it should be because they inarguably have some of the best hoagies in Philadelphia – and prices are very reasonable (we’re always fans of a bargain). These guys are not shy about packing on the meat either – so don’t be shy about eating it. We won’t judge you for eating a two-pound hoagie (perhaps a slight exaggeration) -- we promise.
