Because Italians do ice cream better… And because Capogiro’s makes theirs fresh each morning… gelato is our favorite way to cool it down in this brutal summer heat. The flavor board changes daily, but Capogiro classics include Nocciola, Pistacchio and Stracciatella. More innovative taste combinations range from Rosemary Honey Goat’s Milk to Mascarpone and Fig. Big words all around, and big taste factor. But only half the fat, half the calories. If you’re one of those farm-to-table foodies, you’ll be happy to know Capogiro uses on the freshest, most natural ingredients from Pennsylvania’s rich farmlands, including hand-picked produce and milk from grass-fed, hormone-free cows. We’re not usually that discriminating, but we’re pretty sure in this case we can taste the difference.

Naked and chocolate – our very favorite combination, especially in public. (Look out now!) The ultimate chocolate experience, these hand-crafted artisinal desserts are to die for. Wrap your lips around any chocolate treat you can imagine, plus cupcakes, personal fondue pots, and of course, hot cocoa. Our Sneakiest agree, this café is sure to hit your sweet spot.

The French do dessert right. Located downstairs from Le Bec-Fin, Le Bar Lyonnais is an intimate French bistro featuring a legendary Patisserie. Stand-out desserts include Le Caradou, a caramel and chocolate mousse layered between hazelnut daquoise discs; and the signature dessert, the Gâteau Le Bec-Fin , with layers of chocolate genoise soaked in rum and chocolate mousse, topped with a stunning display of chocolate fansa dark chocolate, run-soaked cake. We’ve died and gone to chocolate heaven.

French kissed lately? No matter. Crepes from our favorite Beau Monde are SO MUCH BETTER! Sweet crepes served with Chantilly. Dessert crepes with nutella, with orange sauce, with chestnut cream, even Grand Marnier. Our mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Did you know "Miel" means honey in French? Well you can bet money, honey, that Miel Patisserie is one of the sweetest dessert spots in town. A boutique, European-style pastry shop, Miel takes the cake for specialty chocolates, individual pastries, cookies and tarts. Crispy pralines, Belgian truffles, French macaroons, Biscotti – we’re getting a sugar high just thinking about it!

An award-winning bakery, Pink Rose sounds as dainty as it looks. Covered in lace and doilies, we feel like we’re home visiting with Grandma. And that’s A-OK with us, ‘cos trust and believe, Grandma can bake up a storm. Here, get your fill of raspberry tarts, éclairs, and assorted cakes. Just know that Pink Rose packs ‘em in.
