Bring your hipster friend, bring your mom, bring your hipster friend’s mom… anyone and everyone is made to feel cozy at this much-loved South Philly breakfast joint. True, you’ll probably have to wait for a table on the weekends, but it’s worth it. The outdoor patio serves as a waiting room of sorts, where you can read the paper, chat it up with friends, or just sleep off your hangover. Oh, and if you have a hankerin’ for a little hair of the dog, you’re SOL – Morning Glory doesn’t serve alcohol. But with the egg-cellent (oh yes we did!) frittatas, you should be good to go with just a cup of joe.

A breakfast burrito called a Barking Chihuahua? French toast stuffed with Oreos? WTF? We have no idea what these guys were thinking when they came up with their brunch menu, but we’re damn glad they did. Seriously. Go stuff your face with anything on their menu and you won’t be disappointed. (Note: “stuff your face” is a not-so-subtle reference to the fact that the portions are ginormous.) Like at any great brunch place, be prepared for a wait on weekends. Oh, before we go, two words to remember: Polenta fries.

MONKEY BREAD!!!!! We didn’t try the monkey bread but it sure is fun to say. What we did try is the plethora of wake-up call morning cocktails designed to nurse you back to health after a night out. Speaking of nurses, the décor of Jones reminds us a whole lot of the Brady Brunch house. So if you want to imagine Mrs. Brady serving up those delicious cocktails in a latex nurse’s outfit, go right ahead. Who are we to judge? (We won’t judge you for ordering the baked mac and cheese for breakfast, either. Hello, hangover food.)

This is fiine dining with an uppity eclectic menu yet without the snobbery. Artsy decor with an average entree for $10 or less. .

At night this place is packed with people downing beers, and by day it is full of people trying to cure their hangovers with some of Ten Stone's greasy favorites. Should you feel like keeping the festivities going from the night before they also serve some the best bloody mary's in the city. Bottoms up!
