The games begin at 9:00pm and competition is sure to be stiff. This relaxed bar has the feel of an English pub, and with a wide selection of English beers it has the taste of one too. We like this place because it is casual, Quizzo is free and for those looking to make the weekend last a little longer it is a great place to spend a Monday night.

O' Neals

The best Tuesday Quizzo is found at O’Neals Pub just off of South Street. Trivia-mania starts here at 8:00 p.m. and is run by our favorite Quizzo host in the city – Johnny Good Times. Doesn’t his name just say it all? Johnny is funny, always does his homework and has good questions. He is a celebrity (we use that term loosely) in the world of Philadelphia Quizzo, hosting it twice a day, four days a week at different bars throughout the city.

New Deck Tavern

Philly was the town where the game of Quizzo first started and New Deck was the bar that brought it to life. We say start do it right with a few rounds of trivia where it all began. New Deck Tavern in University City is hands-down one of our favorite places for Quizzo, but be sure to get there before 10:00 p.m. to get a seat before it all begins. They also have decent drink specials so make the fact that it is still the middle of the week a little less painful by enjoying a few cold ones in between rounds (we assume you won’t be drinking during the rounds because you will be extremely focused on the questions portion of the evening).

We know we recommended Quizzo host Johnny Good Times already once this week, but we like him so much we are telling you to hang with him for a second time – but this time we are changing up the scenery a bit. Of the entire week Thursday’s nights at the Bard’s is perhaps our favorite. We like the 10:15p.m. start the best (just drink an extra cup of coffee the next morning at work and you will be fine). Be warned – competition at this one is tough, but it makes the adrenaline rush that much greater. And, should you walk away victorious you will also walk away with some prizes

McCrossen's Tavern

Sunday night Quizzo is a little harder to come by in Philadelphia as most of the games are held during the week, but a place we love that does round out the weekend with a little trivia is McCrossen’s Tavern. This place has been around forever and is located near the Art Museum. Be sure to give them a call before heading over because they usually host Quizzo every other Sunday – so depending on when you are looking to go you may strike out. Oh and while you are there, if you need a little fuel to keep you going as you play definitely try their wings – by far some of the best in the city.
