This local pub has two locations in downtown Philadelphia, both of which are on Walnut Street. When a place is good they throw up another location in a surburban shopping center. When a place is great they say F it let's roll another one out down the street... I think the lease at Walgreen's just ran out. Definitely one of the most popular beer drinking spots in the city with great happy hour and bar food. Hours of Operation: Monday-Saturday from 11am-2am and Sunday from 10am-2am. Sunday Irish Breakfast served from 10:00am-2:00pm at the 2007 Walnut Street location.

This pub is located just blocks from Rittenhouse Square and always has a friendly atmosphere. It features three floors – an upstairs for private events, a ground floor level with a fire going, and a downstairs with darts and pool tables. House specialties include shepherd’s pie and Guinness Irish stew.

You probably have your own Fado story from one of the many locations throughout the country and then again you may live in Amish country in rural Pennsylvania. Either way it won't take you long to figure out the concept- neighborhood pub with a casual and laid back feel in a friendly atmosphere. While the atmosphere is laid back 90 percent of the time be warned that on Friday and Saturday nights a DJ really spices things up in the main room of the bar. For you kids looking to keep it calm don’t worry, there is plenty of room in the back to chill out, but come late night a rowdier crowd definitely emerges.

McGlinchy's is known for two things: cheap beer and its slick and sophisticated clientèle -- ok maybe just cheap beer. Seriously -- don't miss great drink specials and one of the best and most eclectic jukebox catalogs in the city. This place is a no-frills pub at its finest with cheap drinks, a decent selection of beers, friendly people and NO dress code whatsoever.

This pub draws a diverse crowd from art students to business folks. With live bands upstairs this place has great music and great beers. Owned by the same people that run our other favorite spots Nodding Head and Monks, this place known how to do it right. Be sure to stop by for Quizzo on Tuesdays and Thursdays too. Open Monday – Saturday: 11:00am – 2:00am and Sundays from 5:00pm – 2:00am.
