For all you pool sharks out there, cue Buffalo Billiards. This Old City pool hall sports the best tables in the city, no contest. (We’re talking 9 ft. tables – a lot of them.) Plus dart boards, your favorite teams playing on TV, and a great food and drink selection to boot. Welcome to the wild, wild west.

One of the few adult playlands on the riverfront that doesn’t tout “Risque” in its name, Dave & Buster’s is probably our favorite place to get our game on, with great pool tables, arcade games, Skee Ball and even shuffleboard. (Bet you haven’t played that since you were 9 years old and hangin’ by the pool at your local YMCA.) Trust us, it’s a fun time. Especially when there’s beer involved.

One of our favorite chill scenes, NoChe plays to the crowd with a pool table, jukebox and big-screen TVs downstairs. At just $1/game, you can afford to refuel between games with NoChe’s gourmet pizzas and empanadas. And be sure to check out Noche’s happy hour specials: $4 Nachos, $4 Finlandia vodka drinks, $2 drafts and $5 pitchers of selected beer. If those deals don’t get you on your A-game, nothing will.

Rack ‘em. A local favorite in Old City for years, Lucy’s Hat Shop boasts two large bars – the front bar blasts rock ‘n’ roll, the back plays hip hop – with a pool table in the middle to bridge both crowds. If you like an audience, Lucy’s is the place to play, as it can definitely get busy around the table on weekends.

A virtual frat party every night of the week, we recommend shotgunning a PBR with your friends every time you sink a shot at Drinker’s. With two, 7 ft. bar tables in the basement – fitting, if we’re harkening back to our college days – Drinker’s charges just $1 a game. Plus, you can drink 40s in the bar, and that’s priceless.
