We love Washington Square because it is like Rittenhouse Square but sans the millions of people. Enjoy the outdoor bar and enjoy the peace and quiet (relatively speaking considering you are in the middle of a major city). Sandwiched in between some of Philly’s most high-end condo buildings it tends to attract an upscale crowd, so maybe leave the running sneakers at home for the evening and treat yourself and perhaps someone special to a nice glass of champagne under the stars.
