What better way to cool down the spices of killer Mexican food than with a nice cold margarita? Now that we think about it – there is no better way. Mexican Post has the best of both starting with an amazing menu and ending with a wide selection of margaritas (we say “end” with the margaritas because we are usually still drinking these long after the food is gone). The margarita selection is so long we got a bit of a buzz just reading it.

Quaint "Bring Your Own Tequilla" restaurant which can quickly turn it into something of a blur. While Philadelphia is known for its BYOB scene, this is the only one we know of where they emphasize bringing tequila so they can use their homemade margarita mix to stir up a drink you will not soon forget (well actually if you have enough of them you very well might). On top of the fact that the margaritas are excellent, the fact that they allow us to bring our own tequila and make it cheaper for us is even better.

House brewed Tequilla! Excellent margaritas. Romantic, more upscale setting. Food is pricey. We almost didn’t write a description for this one because with the name of the restaurant being the key ingredient of a margarita we thought it spoke for itself. Tequilas = margaritas done right, very right. With some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine in the city and the best tequila hands-down, we promise you it will not disappoint.
El Vez

El Vez is one of Philadelphia’s trendiest Mexican restaurants and attracts a very chic crowd, in large part because of their amazing margaritas. We were amazed when we saw their margarita and specialty drink menu – you didn’t know this many options existed. When we first laid eyes on the enormous bar located directly in the center of the restaurant from which margaritas are rapidly flowing it was love at first sight.

Located near Penn’s campus this margarita haven tends to attract a lot of college students, but we say get over that and go relive the glory days by throwing a few back (only this time you don’t have to be worried about your fake ID not working at the door.) The margaritas here are great, and what we really love is that they are BIG – considered yourself warned that after one drink things could get blurry. Enjoy!

Casual dinning in Manyunk. The portions here are very large. The quesidillas are the way to go! Menu is cheap.
