McGillin’s Old Ale House can be found in an alley right off of Chestnut Street in the Midtown Village hood. McGillins is the oldest bar in Philadelphia and claims to be one of the oldest in the country. You should head here on Wednesday’s after 9PM and Friday’s after 10PM to get your sing along on. The drink specials are a plenty especially if you like pitchers and you wont be too intimidated with the singing talent. Great bar, great deals, great scene.

The Blarney Stone is located in West Philly right above the University of Pennsylvania. Head here if you are looking for some Karaoke college style. If you are still in college, good for you… Enjoy it! If your college days have passed then head here on Saturday nights after 10PM to relive them and show off your vocals. If your not that good, don’t fret. Most of the crowd will be housed anyway. Remember to have a crisp dollar for the cover charge.

Locust Bar is a dive but man is it a fun place. Any place that has Karaoke on Sunday nights has to be badass. This is the place to let your inner rock star shine in Philly. Be warned, the competition at Locust Bar is fierce so bring your “A” game and get there before 7PM because the place gets packed out. Sunday night Karaoke is truly a Sneaky Favorite. Get out on a school night Philly and strain those vocal chords.
