The drinks at Rouge are a bit on the pricey side but the bar tenders are not shy with their pours. Stop off at the ATM on your way, order a stiff drink, and keep your eyes open.

Tangerine is conveniently located on Market Street in old city so it should be easy to find. The bar is large but private with lots of couches and tables. The cool weather really attracts cougars to this mating field. The lights are low, the music is smooth, and the drinks are strong. A perfect setting for people to meet and lie about how old they are.

XIX (Nineteen for those of you that don’t know how to read Roman Numerals) is a newish restaurant at the top of the Bellevue hotel. XIX has great views of the city but an even greater bar. It is the perfect mix of modern and classic décor. The bar room is cozy, with a fireplace that is going almost all year round. The ambiance is dark and swanky and the patrons always look good. Because XIX is located in a hotel, you are more apt to find some out of town cougars. XIX is a good place to end the night if you struck out everywhere else.

You didn’t think we forgot about the Jersey cougars did you? Denim is located right around the corner from Rittenhouse square and is frequented by a more clubby set. Usually the Jersey crowd doesn’t make it much past old city, but Denim is certainly the exception. Denim has a cover and a dress code, but it is usually well worth the hassle for the cougars that venture up here. Denim is great once you cut through some of the cheese.
