Murff’s runs a bit of a monopoly on the pool game on the square. It’s actually the only place to shoot pool on the square. There are a few pool tables on the top floor and also on the bottom floor. There is no bar downstairs, but the servers periodically come down and check on you if there is a decent crowd. This is the great hole in the wall bar that most pool players are looking for.

Night town is probably the trashiest bar in Oxford and its location is pretty terrible. If you go and get drunk on this side of town while playing pool, make sure you have a sober driver to take you home. Cabs don’t come to this side of town very quickly. With all this being said, they have five times as many pool tables as Murff’s and the girls that come in this place will distract any intense pool game
