It's not your ordinary New York City steakhouse with stuffy old guys in aprons serving stuffy old guys in three-piece suits. No, Roths has gone new school. Clean, comfortable and upscale, you'll be in for a special evening. From the Filet Mignon to the Delmonico, each of their steak offerings are magically seasoned to and will certainly hook you and your guests up. Make sure you also give the crab cakes a shot.

The classic New York steakhouses can be found elsewhere in the city, but Jean Georges is listed due to its overall high quality for a fine dining experience. Everything is perfect at Jean Georges, if you're into perfection. There isn't a dish on the menu that won't knock your argyle socks off. The tasting menu can make for a fun night, and this may sound crazy, actually a decent deal at $150 per person. They've got one of the best wait-staffs in the city who remain attentive and patient as you sift your way through the complex menu. When you think "nice restaurant" this is the visual in most people's heads.

One evening at Ouest will make you a lifetime fan. Its exemplary food and hip environment never fails to please. Their got old-school red booths and dark wood put you in the right frame of mind for a good meal. Chef-owner Tom Valenti is the meat master and his precisely cooked Marinated Hangar Steak and Black Angus Steak melt in your mouth and make you giddy for the rest of the night. They don't have a bunch of different steaks on the menu, but the ones they do have, they do right. Open Mon-Thu 5pm-11pm; Fri 5pm-12am; Sat 11am-2:30pm, 5pm-12am; Sun 11am-2:30pm, 5pm-11pm

Located in the Time Warner Center, it's the distant cousin to The French Laundry, which is one of the best restaurants anywhere. Per Se overlooks Central Park and is the kind of place you should take your parents, if you've just won the lottery. The atmosphere and wait staff have upscale written all over them and it's anchored by a truly memorable meal, no matter your selection. Put on your fanciest duds and enjoy fine dining done right.
