The UWS is a fairly residential neighborhood but interspersed throughout with plenty of small-store shopping for one's every need, particularly along the main N-S running avenues. Columbus Ave (between 66th-76th St) is a stretch with nearly the highest concentration of high-quality boutiques, including Theory, Intermix, smaller locally-owned women's boutiques, as well as some more nationally-known names (Kenneth Cole, Eileen Fisher, Design Within Reach).
