Admittedly, calling yourself a "Dive Bar" is first cousins to wearing the t-shirt of the band you're attending, but these guys seem to pull it off. How do they do it? Well, they got it all covered. The food is diverse and deelish, the people are cool, they've got a grip-load of beers on tap and in the bottle and it's a stellar place to catch a game. It all adds up to be very undivey, but it's our very favorite undivey dive bar.

Good dive-ish atmosphere, although I suppose the early sushi specials takes a little of the dive quality out of this place.

Nothing special is what's special about this diviest of the dive bar collective. Straight-forward, to the point, unassuming. You go there to drink and shoot the breeze with the occasional neighborhood fly. Maybe get your darts on. The clientele is diverse, but all present and seated for the same reason - an easy, unbothered hang to refresh and regroup.

Despite the name, I wouldn't call this bar super-divey, which is why its not ranked #1 in this category, but its a solid hangout.

A dive bar's dive bar. We have now idea what that means, but it sounds cool and this, indeed, is a cool dive bar. A little off the beaten path of the UWS, it's a little closet of a space with a pool table, a couple seats and a bar. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you're getting a glimpse of what the city used to be like. Back before khaki sales took over. If you're lucky enough to get a prime seat at the bar on a prime night, you're in for a moving experience. Oh, and you'll get plenty wasted. Open Mon 12am-4am, 12pm-4am; Tue-Sat 12pm-4am; Sun 12pm-12am.
