We know it's in Brooklyn, but just barely. Visiting Peter Luger's is an other-worldly experience. Tucked into the heart of Williamsburg, Peter's feels like it's on a street some where much further from Manhattan than Brooklyn. We found the people watching fascinating- an odd assortment of bridge and tunnel folks who looked like they had mainly stepped out of the late eighties/early nineties. Even with a reservation, be prepared to wait at the crowded and expensive bar area. The steaks are perfect, which is what you came for, but we weren't impressed with the fish option we tried. I guess that's what we get for trying to branch out... 'when in Rome'...
