If you’ve bored of the typical ubiquitous brunch classics, Public is the perfect spot for a change of tastes. The eclectic cuisine shines all weekend long at this Nolita restaurant, designed to be an overwhelmingly open space like that of a public library. Though some dishes steer towards the classic—like the savory banana stuffed French toast—others are more inventive and provide an adventurous experience for the palate, like the two eggs any style on sourdough toast with slow roasted tomatoes and buttered mushrooms or the grilled venison burger served on a miso bun with tomato chili jam. Try to sit by the open windows in the summer to enjoy the fresh breeze and the beautiful shoppers passing by.

Hello hair of the dog! Essex is a hopping brunch spot, packed with all the kids who are meeting up again with everyone they met up with last night! Don't bother thinking it through, just order the $15.95 prix fix brunch that includes three drinks of your choice; bloody mary, mimosa or screwdriver. Trust us the servers still pour long after your third. You're going to wait for a table, but what do you expect after what you have just been told. The fare is Jewish- American and the music will have you singing along. Just bring shades, afterall, it is the day after!!

After a stroll in the village swing by this simple spot for a carb induced bread basket or protein packed omelets and breakfast burritos. The bread basket is sinfully delicious and makes only choosing 3 yummy breads a true challenge. Pecan Pear crumb cake, spicy pumpkin bread or even sour cream donuts...I'm speechless?!? The carrot cake pancakes and chicken sausage is also quite delicious. This restaurant is aptly named and definitely raises the bar (and the table).
