Built by Wendy is on of New York City’s most established independent designers. The store is decorated very simply with a clean and simple design. It reminded me of what I would want my closet to look like…if I could…very organized. There are two locations, one in Brooklyn and the other in Manhattan. Both are superb. They carry men’s and women’s clothes, so it’s one of the few places my boyfriend will go with me to shop. He loves the men’s fashions there and I love the women’s…simply adorable. A lot of the clothes have a really cool deconstructed or homemade look to them that rocks! It has such a unique flavor and style that you are sure to find a great piece that will set you apart from the crowd. One great thing that you might not know about Built by Wendy is that she sells her patterns. I’m not much of a sewer, but I love a challenge so I picked up an easy looking pattern. I’m still working on that, but that’s another story.
