I believe it’s owned by a couple so the décor isn’t overly feminine making men feel at ease. They have a peaceful, tranquil environment, which you would expect from a spa, but they do it well. They offered me fresh fruit, cookies, crackers, teas and fruit infused water. I had a facial and a massage. The aesthetician gave me great advice on what foods to eat to keep my skin looking good. The massage was simply so relaxing, I fell asleep within minutes. Some people might think this is a waste, not me. I loved every peaceful minute of it. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside is that you must book well in advance. But hey, they are popular because they are great. They didn’t have showers, but I don’t think that took away from the whole experience. I would definitely go back and I’m taking into consideration what I put in my mouth now. I learned that here.

Eden Day Spa

At Eden Day Spa I felt like they thought of everything. This place is immaculately clean and they even have heated toilet seats! A big plus that you wouldn’t normally think about. The whole place is peaceful and beautiful and did I say clean? It’s clean. I also loved that it is located in Tribeca and is easy to get to. I did the whole spa day trip as I had a bachelorette party that night. They offered me fresh fruit, chocolate and Champagne. That part was the icing on the cake. My massage therapist was friendly, knowledgeable and didn’t talk through the whole massage which is a huge plus. She imparted her knowledge and then let me enjoy. The facial woman was very attentive and gave great advice for my skin. Advising me on a product for the red dry patches of skin on my face but not pushing me to purchase it. The whole place was very organized and they got me in and out without my feeling rushed or ignored. It gave me so much energy to spend at the party that night.

Oasis Day Spa at the Affinia Dumont

Oasis is a spa and an Urban fitness center. The fitness center is packed with high tech equipment and it has a private yoga room. The whole facility is very neat and clean. I took my husband there and we had a couple’s massage. One cute thing they did, was remove the wall in between our rooms so we got to get our massages side by side. That made him very comfortable. I noticed a long list of different types of facials on the menu so I made an appointment for a facial that same week! My esthetician was informative and gentle. The extractions didn’t even hurt and that was a first. Both visits to Oasis Day Spa were blissful and I felt pampered every time.

Bliss

Bliss is my home away from home. I never write reviews, but I had to for the sake of my love, Bliss. If you haven’t been to the spa, you must’ve tried the products. If you haven’t tried the products…run out right now and grab them. All of them. They are by far, the best facial products around. Bliss has spas all over the city in all the great locations. My personal favorite is the Soho location. But know this, every location is professional and extremely clean and beautiful. The staff is so knowledgeable, I trust every one. I don’t request a certain person because everyone is fantastic. They treat me like the queen I was meant to be! I get a nice, fluffy robe and a glass of wine before I even begin my services. The best treatment that I have found is the Triple-Oxygen Facial. I get them regularly and all my girlfriends get the. Your skin looks amazing immediately! The staff is great for matching your particular skin problems with the correct products. So you don’t have to wander around trying to figure out which cleanser is best for you. You do have to book well in advance and some treatments are expensive, but aren’t you worth it.

Great Jones Spa

I go to Great Jones Spa on a regular basis just because of the Water Lounge. Check it out. It’s like you are in another world. Just a few minutes in this place and all the worries of New York City life just melt away. The Water Lounge has a hot tub, sauna and waterfall that are enjoyably breath-taking. The spa is so peaceful sometimes I forget I’m even in Manhattan. They have tons of spa treatments that you can’t find anywhere else. If it’s obscure and you’ve been trying to find it, they probably do it. They offer tea and healthy snacks. The entire time I feel as if I’m at a calm oasis. You must experience this for yourself. The staff is friendly and they make you feel important, no matter how much money you are spending that day. The best part is that the entire Spa is completely holistic meaning that they use no chemicals anywhere.

StressLess NYC

Massages done right. That’s all they do. The location is on 8th Avenue right by Penn Station so it’s easy for anyone and everyone to pop in for a massage. I have an old sports injury and I just trust this place with my rehabilitation. The atmosphere is chill and everyone is cool. They do all kinds of massage including therapeutic, Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, sports and myo facial release. They know all there is to know about massage. So ask any question you might have and I guarantee they will know. The best thing is the price. It’s totally affordable for anyone on a budget. And when I’m in a hurry they do 30 minute massages for just fifty bucks. You can’t beat that.
