The swankiest of all boutique hotels! My stay here was exactly how I dreamed it to be. It’s expensive, but worth every last nickel. I loved the location. It’s on West Broadway in Soho. So everyday I had tons of shopping options. It has a sleek, industrial and glamorous design. Beautiful, really. I’m a pet lover and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are pet-friendly. So next stay, Grady is coming. But while I was here, they offered me a goldfish to stay in my room to keep me company while I was missing my dog. How cute is that? Another thing that I loved was that they loaned me an iPod and in my room I had a Bose sound dock. The iPod had great tunes on it. They also loaned me an Electra old skool bike that I rode all over Manhattan. This place is dreamy and I will always stay here. So will Grady.

I’m a filmmaker and I have to go to New York City a lot on business. I booked a room at the Tribeca Grand during the Tribeca Film Festival. I booked the iStudio. If you don’t know about this, I’m hesistant to say because I don’t want the secret out. It’s a premium room with all sorts of Apple multimedia technology. It has a G5 computer with photo, film and sound editing software! It has iSight cameras for video conferencing. The computer has a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse with a BlueTooth module. It has an iPod and Bose sound system. Very cool and very helpful. They give you a champagne at check in. There is a coffee, tea and cocoa bar on every floor. The view was spectacular. Also, while you are there you have to check out Church Lounge. It’s huge and turns into a very cool night spot. I ended up there almost every night.

The Roger Williams Hotel is a Murray Hill landmark. They have a champagne check in that always makes for a great way to start a relationship. I knew right away that I would love it here. When we got to our room, I was so pleased to see that it was large by New York City standards. The room was decorated funky chic. We had a great garden terrace, where we spent a lot of time. I was even more pleased to find Aveda bath products in our bathroom. I loved them and took them when I left. The only downside was that there was no room service and the Continental breakfast wasn’t free. But the awesome room and great staff more than made up for it. Also, we were so close to everything we didn’t have to spend a lot of money on cabs.

Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. They have unbelievable art on the walls by Andy Warhol, Damian Hurst and Julian Schnabel to name a few. The lobby is breath-takingly fantastic with Moroccan tiles, hand woven rugs, hand-carved Italian fireplaces and long, lush red velvet drapes. This place is legendary and has been around since 1925. The room was just as magnificent! We've heard that they are all decorated uniquely with handmade original furnishings. We were surprised to find out that staying here, you get private key with access to Gramercy Park. They have an Aerospace gym with top-notch amenities where you can have an Aeropod virtual personal trainer! The Wakiya restaurant is fabulous thanks to the the food and the staff. Check out the Rose Bare. It's a great location and close to everything. The problem is that you won’t want to leave.

The Mercer Hotel is upscale but definitely down-home friendly...and we love it here. It’s located in Soho, so there is no shortage of hip restaurants and clothing stores. The first thing we noticed when we checked into the room was the HUGE bathtub! You could get four or five people in there...but we are not telling YOU what went down! You get free passes to Crunch Gym or World Gym when you stay so you can work off those Soho dinnes. If you don't go the gym, you can get a private trainer, Yoga instructor,or massage therapist, for all kinds of beauty treatments right in your room. But of all the great things about the Mercer Hotel, the best was Mercer Kitchen. A funky cool restaurant and bar that has the best Mac-n-cheese in the city!

Hotel Giraffe is located in Midtown on Park Avenue and close to everything. Every room has a flat screen TV and 100% Egyptian cotton linens. They offered so many complimentary items it’s hard for us to remember them all, but I will try. Continental breakfast, coffee drinks, cookies and whole fruit were all complimentary. Also the happy hour rocked! Every week day they offer Champagne, wine and cheese with live piano music. See if you can check out the roof top garden lounge. It’s truly beautiful and warm. The only thing that was a bit of a problem was there’s no 24 hour room service so eat before you get back to the room. Otherwise, this place is a winner.
