Looking for a hot new happy hour spot? Crime Scene is just the place! With a new and improved sleek design, cool vibe and amazing beer selection this place will have you partying all night long. The vibe is a total facelift from the old Crime Scene with a more sophisticated and upscale feeling. Grab some appetizers at the bar or sit in a booth sipping a hot new affordable concoction. The staff is friendly and fun and Tanya the owner is a riot! Trust us -it's always 5'oclock somewhere!

Originally designed as the headquarters for the National Maritime Union in 1966 this hotel has become a Mecca for hot singles to scope the scene. With a bustling social scene it's hard to decide which venue to go to. The Cabanas are the place to be in late spring/early summer, Matsuri serves world renowned sushi, whilst La Bottega has an interesting appetizer menu with a good wine list. Friendly staff, an interesting theme and pretty people makes this a fun spot to see and be seen.

With plasma screens, fireplace dining and a beer garden...what more can a person expect from a sports bar?!?! The food is AMAZING and you actually forget that it's supposed to be Irish pub fare. The staff is friendly, pours a decent pint and makes a mean Apple-Jack burger. Close to the subways, big private room for parties and stiff drinks make this the top pick for Superbowl & March Madness parties!

Big-old heapin' selection of quality beers and gobs and gobs of large TV's. A sports bonanza, if you will. You'll usually be able to catch your game and if it's a really big one, the crowd will grow to a fever pitch making you feel like you're in the stadium. The pub grub is good with above average wings that you can usually get on the cheap. A wee snobby about their beers -- you can't find a macro-brew in sight (yes, sometimes it's good to watch men beat each other up with a frosty Bud in hand). Good times will be had, nonetheless.

Located in hoity-toity Gramercy Park, it's a solid place to let loose and catch the game or stare at others as they catch the game. Plenty of large plasmas to please a crowd of on-lookers. They usually have pretty good pints and food specials going on. The food is a step above your standard pub chow, which was a surprise to us. The mini-burgers are dee-lish. It usually has a pretty good, laid-back vibe.

This place has a long and distinguished bar. No, seriously, this thing is long. And distinguished. A whole bunch of TVs, but they wouldn't be in this category if they didn't. It can get a bit frat-tastic at times, but that can be fun too. We're nothing if not equal opportunity drinkers. Chance are, you'll have a blast at the Professor's.

Inspired by the Wild West saloons, this club is a circus! Beautifully sexy booths draped in velvet with heavy curtains and barely dressed performers make this one of the sexiest spots in the city. Every night burlesques shows are performed by a variety of different acts ranging from stunning blonde twins to she-male. Be forwarded - these shows are not for the fainthearted. The box is an experience but not necessarily one that will be repeated every week. A strict door, pricey cover charge and bottle minimums make this a hard joint to crack, but once inside it makes sneaky sense.

Beer, beer and more beer!! This is THE place to go when you are in the mood for beer! With over 40 different types of draft beers, it's hard to figure out where to start. This LES spot has awesome bar snacks such as pork fat popcorn as well as beer battered oysters. So grab your best bud, snuggle close (as the long bar creates a cozy seating arrangement) and see who can pound belgium ale's faster!

Even though it's just been around a little over a decade, it's already a New York classic. Solid up-and-coming indie bands travel through on a nightly basis. This Lower East Side favorite doesn't have a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are incredible. There are plenty of little spots to hang while you're waiting for your band to go on. The only knock on the place are the tubesteaks who work the door.

Nothing can prepare you for the view from the top, both indoor and outdoor. The elevator doors open to the top floor, a glamorously trendy space, with swanky lighting and couches, packed with some of New York’s best looking spenders. Head outside to the patio, open in all seasons, where the extensive seating, paired with towering palm trees, fills up quickly. Most miss the stunning views to all sides of the island as all attention is focused to men and women parading across the patio, $15 cocktails in hand. When any place is this hot, is it a surprise the server’s attitude towers above the penthouse?

For those of you who need a cocktail once you get home, Prune is for you—it’s okay if you misconstrue its welcoming feel for your home and indulge in one of their 10 Bloody Mary’s instantly. Though it is not at all a bar space, there is no reason not to sample the food. Prune is a brunch classic so plan to wait with the others who are itching for their Bloody Mary’s with a side of the infamous eggs Benedict or the triple-decker ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese sandwich, battered and deep fried. Unfortunately, unlike home, you will have to leave.

Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel impressively blends classic French and exotic Asian themes, while similarly blending some of New York’s best drinks at the bar. The bar attracts a variety of types—fashionistas, investment bankers, and savvy tourists—who don’t mind, or don’t realize, the cocktails’ $19 price tags. Food is available from the hotel restaurant but the main draw, however, is the bar’s soothing vibe—while still cool and sexy, it’s never too noisy or too crowded. Some claim Rose Bar’s best days have passed but it is undeniably a place that must be visited though sometimes the doorman makes getting into Gramercy Park seem easier.

West-Villagers are grateful for a Mexican menu that breaks the mold and effectively fuses new flavors with traditional fare from over the border. Go for the short ribs with a pear margarita while watching downtown beauties pass on by through the tall front windows. Or stop by on a weekend evening and be prepared to sample the 30 tequilas at the packed bar, where you’ll certainly make some new friends. And who knew a Mexican restaurant could provide such a homey brunch? It’s not just the comfortable décor that does the trick, but credit is due to Agave’s yummy pancakes and flavorful quesadillas. Expect a long wait, amigo, the secret is out.

Whether you’re looking for pizzas, pastas, or sandwiches, Abbondanza’s always delivers delicious food. Located in the heart of the West Village, Abbondanza’s is a neighborhood delight. Walking in you’re immediately enveloped by the smell of a wood burning oven at work, churning out fresh pizzas and sandwich breads. Also delicious are the giant salads with abundant toppings. The best part of the experience is that you’re the boss—whatever it is you want, you can get it. At Abbondanza’s you design your meal choosing from a hundred options of sandwich, salad, pizza and pasta toppings.

Luckily renowned mixologist Sasha Petraske’s Little Branch is easily accessible and free of attitude while serving some of New York’s prime cocktails. Little Branch is a respectful place for a drink—loud, obnoxious parties are not tolerated—an ideal place to actually get to know your date while enjoying drink combinations you’ve never imagined. Arriving at Little Branch is an event in itself. Its exterior is nondescript as if the place would rather not be discovered. This as well as the mellow color scheme and furnishings account for the subdued ambiance that facilitates making conversation. The service is impressive as each customer receives dedicated attention. On weekends the line outside is unpredictable so play it safe and get there around 11 PM.

Gold, Gold and more Gold! That is the theme of this exclusive loungy club. From ornate chandeliers, to Gold skulls on the walls to baroque inspired oil paintings - this lounge is a work of art! Cozy banquettes, divine drinks and unique sounds create a fun vibe in this Broome street joint. Be aware, the door is tough but once you’re inside its well worth the wait. Attentive staff, dimmed lights, celebrity sightings and a strict guest list makes this a true NYC hotspot. The DJ spins a mix of fun 80's pop and long lost underground tunes. So throw on your best designer duds and try your luck at the velvet rope!

The East Village is never exhausted of its delicious pizza joints and Luzzo’s on 1st Avenue provides patrons with everything that completes an iconic pizza place. Though the décor seems simple, each piece adorning the walls adds to the old world charm that Luzzo’s naturally exudes. Reminiscent of the pizza place you frequented growing up, Luzzo’s pies have that old country feeling. The thin crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella are baked to perfection in the traditional coal oven, mastered by multiple men at one time. Though flavorful pastas and appetizers are also served, you’re deadly wrong to avoid going for one of the almost 20 pizzas available.

The finest meat always comes at quite a price, but once you’ve bitten into your perfectly cooked steak you’ll surely recognize the quality you’re paying for. Strip House is the Capitol of steak houses, leading the way in fine steak preparation while others try to replicate their precision. The signature dish is the New York strip steak accompanied by the infamous goose fat potatoes. The burlesque figures that adorn the walls accommodate the parties of suited men that fill the majority of the restaura
