Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel impressively blends classic French and exotic Asian themes, while similarly blending some of New York’s best drinks at the bar. The bar attracts a variety of types—fashionistas, investment bankers, and savvy tourists—who don’t mind, or don’t realize, the cocktails’ $19 price tags. Food is available from the hotel restaurant but the main draw, however, is the bar’s soothing vibe—while still cool and sexy, it’s never too noisy or too crowded. Some claim Rose Bar’s best days have passed but it is undeniably a place that must be visited though sometimes the doorman makes getting into Gramercy Park seem easier.
