The Lower East Side waited long enough for a sushi haven, and Cube 63 finally appeared with trumpets blazing and the crowds roaring. BYOB has yet to impede customers from coming, brown bags of sake or beer in tow. Though it may seem like the prices are low for the quality delivered, some critics claim they’re able to pick up on the smaller sized portions. Cube 63, however, garnered such strong acclaim and a devoted following that a second branch in Brooklyn soon followed and was soon packed to the brink. Creative rolls decorate the menu, like the Pink Lady, a California roll joined with spicy tuna and a crunchy top. The restaurant also offers Omakase dinners and at Cube 63, it’s perfectly fine to put your palate in the chef’s hands
