It's been said that it takes a tough man to make a tender chicken. However, the saying at McDougal's is that it takes a tough customer to not love the tender chicken. It's a popular place to go after football games...don't worry, the lines move quickly. Sneakily park your car where it won't get towed, then walk up the license plate-lined ramps to the shack covered with college memorabilia and dollar bills. It's rumored that if you drop a dirty penny into the McDougal's sauce for a few minutes, it cleans it and makes it look like new. Hours: Open Mon-Sat 11am-11pm

If you're on Demonbreun and looking for a more causal place to eat, Otter's is an excellent choice. Among the college students, Otter's is a popular place to go on Sunday afternoons. With the choice of grilled or freshly breaded chicken tenders, the food is fresh and delicious. The Otter's special dipping sauce is the perfect complement to your hunger ravaged system. Hours: Open Mon-Wed 11am-9pm; Thu-Sat 11am-3am; Sun 11am-2:30pm

Sam's is the true sports bar hot spot in Nashville. This Hillsboro Village gathering place has made it's mark on Nashville and local students. The food is outstanding for a sports bar with a wide variety of pizzas, oven-baked subs, fantastic wings, and awesome ribs. There are so many TV's your neck can get sore trying to catch all the sports action, flirty waitresses, and cute Vandy co-eds. It's a great place to hang out and spend a weeknight or weekend watching sports. Hours: Open Mon 12am-3am, 11am-3am; Tue-Sat 11am-3am; Sun 11am-12am

This place is right across the street from the Sommet Center, so it is a great place to grab a cold beer and food before a concert or Preds game. You can find good food, a cute, friendly bar staff, live country music, and out of towners mixing with locals at Rippy's. Rippy's gets packed, so be sneaky and arrive early. Hours: Open Mon 12am-2am, 11am-2am; Tue-Sat 11am-2am; Sun 11am-12am.

Once a legendary dive bar, the Goldrush underwent a much needed face lift several years ago and has returned to its former glory. With a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere, this is type of place that Homer and Barney would throw back a few Duffs. The wings are some of the best in town, along with excellent burgers, but the house specialty has to be their seven different types of beans rolls. Hmmmm, bean rolls. Hours: 11am - 2am Daily
