A Nashville staple. You haven't ever really BEEN to Nashville until you've rocked the Country Ham Breakfast Platter. All breakfasts are served with award winning biscuits and homemade preserves. Also, Loveless is the only place where you can get away with eating b.b.q. for breakfast. Beware the longer hike. Hours: Open Mon-Thu 8am-8pm; Fri-Sun 8am-9pm

A traditional Vanderbilt stronghold, Pancake Pantry is a THE place to be on Sunday mornings in Nashville. There's always a long line, but it goes extremely fast and is an integral part of the experience. Grab a complimentary cup of coffee and chat up the folks nearby - you never know who will show up. Try to avoid the big Vandy weekends if possible (i.e. football games, graduation, etc.) as half the football team often shows up for the morning feast. Hours: Open Weekdays 6am-3pm; Weekends 6am-4pm

Weekend brunch at Monell’s is like sitting down in your grandma’s kitchen - only with better food. Nestled into an old Victorian home in Germantown, Monell’s all-you-can-eat, family style feast is Southern food at its finest. They don’t take reservations but have no trouble accommodating large parties and the communal dining experience means you almost always meet someone interesting. Just don’t forget to pass the hash browns. Carnivores will be in heaven when the heart-attack basket of breakfast meats (including: bacon, sausage, country ham, and fried chicken) makes it way around the table. Go ahead, eat until it hurts! Country Breakfast: Saturday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm & Sunday 8:30 am to 11:00 am, Lunch & Dinner: Monday - Friday 10:30 am to 8:30 pm

Terribly overpriced, but the only place to get good Nova and Lox in town. There are two locations, with the one on Broadway being the most popular. Great pickles and strong to very strong breakfast fare. Large menu, and the potato cakes are a must. Sometimes you need to soak up a Sneaky Saturday night. Midtown (Broadway) Hours: MON 6:30am - 2:30pm TUE 6:30am - 8:30pm WED 6:30am - 8:30pm THU 6:30am - 8:30pm FRI 6:30am - 9:30pm SAT 7:30am - 9:30pm SUN 7:30am - 8:30pm Cool Springs & Green Hills Hours: MON 6:30am - 4:00pm TUE 6:30am - 4:00pm WED 6:30am - 4:00pm THU 6:30am - 4:00pm FRI 6:30am - 4:00pm SAT 7:30am - 4:00pm SUN 7:30am - 4:00pm

Chappy's on Church is a new addition to Nashville. The owner relocated from Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina demolished the previous restaurant in 2005. Bad for Chappy, good for Nashville. The 4 course weekend brunch is the kicker, with all you can drink champaign. You might want to re-read that last part twice. Standard southern/cajun fare. Hours: Open Weekdays 11am-2pm, 5pm-10pm; Weekends 11am-10pm

At Marché, you can eat in or take out your food if you're in a hurry. The menu is European and one of its kind, so the best way is to figure out what you want to order is to look at the menus on the website. Breakfast is served 8-10 and lunch 11-4. Dinner is served 5-9 Tuesday through Fridays. On weekends, a brunch menu is available from 9am - 4pm.
