Excellent sandwiches of any kind. The restaurant can get a little smoky at times from the bar area. If you like hot, gooey, goodness, it's a must for dessert! Try the cookie dough egg rolls. Hours: Mon-Thu 11am-2am, Fri 11am-3am, Sat 9am-3am, Sun 9am-12am

Across the street from the Green Hills Kroger and hidden behind a fence, several people just stumble in. But once it's been discovered, regulars are made out of first-timers. That's because the Greenhouse is, indeed, a greenhouse, complete with hanging plants and potted trees. With several bars and even a porch swing, this is the place for a casual after-work cocktail or a late-night lager. The Green Hills area is a nightlife wasteland, so don't expect to bar-hop. Either start or end your evening here. Smoking is allowed, which means The Greenhouse Bar is over 21s only. Hours: Daily 5pm-2am

When you visit South Street make sure you step upstairs into the “Treehouse” where you can enjoy the open-air breeze in a perfect hideaway. Fresh Oysters are shucked while you enjoy a refreshing beverage. South Street is a great place to enjoy the feeling of the coast while in Nashville. This place is right across the street from the Sommet Center, so it is a great place to grab a cold beer and food before a concert or Preds game. You can find good food, a cute, friendly bar staff, live country music, and out of towners mixing with locals at Rippy's. There's an outdoor patio that is popular on nice days, and everyone who sits outside receives great service. Hours: Open daily 12am-2am

Young, upscale singles and happy hour patrons order giant goblets of beer at the penny-plastered bar, or coolly sip top-shelf cocktails on the intimate outdoor patio. With actual doors on the ceiling and cork covering the walls, Red Door's decor keeps you guessing. Without a visible outdoor sign, the Door is easy to miss. The little house rimmed in red lights marks the spot. Weekdays before 7pm, all drinks are a dollar off. The drinks are large and nicely priced. Hours Mon-Sat 11am-3am Sun 12pm-3am

The high ceilings and red brick walls that are covered with art create a very romantic atmosphere. Even though it's close to Vanderbilt, it's a professional crowd that runs through the tables. No matter if you're from the North or the South, you can experience Southern hospitality at it's finest. Go in for a good time and have your server joke around with you. Even though there's two floors, for the best experience stay downstairs on the main level. The wine list is extensive and if you're feeling sneaky, try the house specialty--a martini! Hours: Open Mon-Thu 4:30pm-10pm; Fri-Sat 4:30pm-11pm
