Several years back the Tin Roof kicked-off the successful revitalization of a formerly forlorn strip of Demonbreun and quickly made the Musica circle one of the hottest night spots in Nashville. In a city known for its musical muscle, the Tin Roof stands out as one of the most raucous and fun-loving live spots in town. The extra long happy "hour" runs 2pm-7pm weeknights, and includes $1 drafts, $3 well drinks, and tasty margaritas. The signature drink, the Bloody George, is a lethal concoction--Captain Morgan, Malibu, pineapple juice and a dash of grenadine. Bands start around 9pm with a minimal weekend cover ($3)after the music starts. Hours Mon-Sat 11am-3am

Young, upscale singles and happy hour patrons order giant goblets of beer at the penny-plastered bar, or coolly sip top-shelf cocktails on the intimate outdoor patio. With actual doors on the ceiling and cork covering the walls, Red Door's decor keeps you guessing. Without a visible outdoor sign, the Door is easy to miss. The little house rimmed in red lights marks the spot. Weekdays before 7pm, all drinks are a dollar off. The drinks are large and nicely priced. Hours Mon-Sat 11am-3am Sun 12pm-3am

A mixed crowd of songwriters in Wranglers and preppy college students hoist mugs of beer at this no-frills watering hole near Vanderbilt and Music Row. While Golden T and a pool table keep some occupied in the back room, others conversationalists congregate near the pine walls and hardwood floors in the main bar area. On nights when live music isn't offered, the jukebox wails with music from Johnny Cash and George Strait. There's no menu, but barbecue and chips are often available; including pork sandwiches for $6.50, half-rack of ribs for $10 and full rack for $18. In warm weather months, take a seat on the raised patio deck overlooking Division Street. Drink specials, such as $2 domestic bottles, vary by day and are available 11am to 7pm on weekdays and 11am to 8pm on weekends. Hours: Daily 11am-3am

Formerly one of Nashville’s legendary dive bars, the Goldrush underwent a much needed face lift several years ago and has returned to its former glory. With a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere, this is type of place that Homer and Barney would throw back a few pints. The wings are some of the best in town, along with excellent burgers, but the house specialty has to be their seven different types of beans rolls. Hmmmm, bean rolls. Hours: 11am - 2am Daily

With irregular hours and an unmarked location, this hidden happy hour locale is one of the sneakiest spots in Nashville. Local brewer Yazoo set up shop in the old Marathon Motor Works factory in 2003 and now boasts six quality hand-crafted brews. Start with the beer sampler and then feel like a bootlegger as you head home with a refillable half-gallon growler of your favorite. Hours: Thursday 4-8PM, Friday 4-8PM , Saturday 2-8PM
