Part dive bar, part low-budget reality show, Lonnie’s is a Music City must. A Nashville institution located at the heart of Printer’s Alley, Lonnie’s intimate brand of country-karaoke offers up a nightly version of Nashville Star without the bad Billy Ray commentary. The low ceilings, cheap buckets of beer, and friendly atmosphere always tempt first-time singers to the stage, often with mixed results. Hours Mon-Thu, Sun 6pm-3am Fri 5pm-3am

Station-Inn is a world famous bluegrass club and beer joint...they only serve beer. No matter the night of the week, there's always live music. During the day, Station Inn hosts #1 parties for Music Row and artist showcases. Keep on the lookout because you never know who you're going to find in the audience. Hours Mon-Sat 7pm-2am, Sun 7pm-12am

Robert’s is the quintessential American honky-tonk. Cowboy boots line the walls, cold PBR’s (Pabst Blue Ribbon) are the beer of choice, and old school country music fills the air 365 days a year. Smack in the middle of the lower Broad strip, Robert’s always has a good crowd and remains a favorite among locals who appreciate its’ authentic atmosphere and casual camaraderie. A good time virtually any night of the week. Hours Mon-Sat 10am-3am Sun 12pm-12am

Layla's offers plenty of seating, but don't be surprised if there's standing room only... or should we say dancin' room only! We can get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but if you can't make it then, don't worry! Layla's has live music 7 days a week, never a cover charge, and she's offering up a foot stompin', toe tappin', honky tonkin' good time!! Hours Mon-Thu 8pm-12am Fri 6pm-2am Sat 2pm-2am

Smoky, loud, cheap beer, excellent juke, nice barkeeps, great decor, what else could you want from a dive bar? When you belly up to the bar at the Villager, it better be with a beer gut because bartender Henry Piarrot--who operates the bar with his wife Ann--only sells suds. The neighborhood regulars represented by the photographs lining the walls will always be the lifeblood of this pub. Bud Light regularly sponsors a national dart series in back and the foosball table entices novices into ill-advised matches with lurking sharks. Hours: Mon-Fri 3pm-3am, Sat 4pm-3am
This is the kind of hole in the wall you take your date to if you want her to call it off early. The draft beer is dirt cheap, has a strange metallic aftertaste, and usually provides a hangover so bad you might think you were poisoned. The place has no outdoor signage and usually looks deserted, but surprisingly you sometimes able to catch some quality up-and-coming punk rockers. Although sometimes referred to as a “supper club” sneaky’s advice would be to stay away from the menu entirely. Daily from 11:00 AM until 3:00 AM
