Sliding nicely into the space recently vacated by Lot 7, Mai has refreshed the urban lounge concept with a plush, multi-level VIP area designed to attract the beautiful people and their entourages. Mai appears to make no bones about its desire to appeal to Music City’s celebrity crowd with its strict dress code and weekly “Industry Night” held each Wednesday. On most nights there is a cover after 11pm, but they do throw in free valet parking all night. Hours: Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 9pm to 3am

Mai is a nice looking club and has decent music throughout the week. The fact that its 21 up makes the scene there quite sketchy compared to other nightlife scenes in Nashville, there are a lot of sketchy old men in there, and usually when a club is 18 up the old sketchy men do not show up. If you are looking for great live music and a good time, I'd strongly recommend 12th and Porter across the street, its a great venue with an awesome lights set-up and a good crowd of people.

I went to the Halloween party that Mai had and it was the MOST INCREDIBLE thing I've ever been to in Nashville! This place is awesome!! I don't usually hit the nightclubs that often. I am more of a restaurant/ lounge guy, but I am SO glad I found a club that I feel comfortable in. I read the bad review above and would have to completely disagree. Oh and go to the bartender Zeke!!! He took great care of us!

I have been to Nashville several times to do some work and love to bring my girls as we have such a great time! I am very shocked to see that Mai is rated #2. The place is very beautiful and if i were rating it on the look i think second place suits it, however we were really disappointed. The service was horrible as our server spilt drinks everywhere and the liquor tasted cheap, i can tell the difference between grey goose and smirnoff. I was very annoyed as i was trying to find an upscale classy place to party. The people were more or less trashy and the men were pretty creepy. I would not suggest having a girls night there or any other night there for that matter. VERY ghetto. I guess it used to be pretty badass but i will definately not be boasting about it back in la.

I went and checked out Mai last weekend and had a fantastic time, as did my group! I suggest you go there if you are looking for a club that you can dance, party and be comfortable, it's not the same old nightclub crap. The staff there was awesome! Thanks again to the door girl who helped get my party a table at the last minute, you rock!
