Located in quaint little Hillsboro Village (21st ave and Blakemore), Tom Sheffer's Jackson's is a great brunch spot and home to the Bloody Ceasar (vodka, clamato juice, celery salt, lime) and the Dirty Mary (vodka infused with homemade "dirty olive mixture"). They also have a regular Bloody Mary for rookies. But then, you're not a rookie, are you? Bloodies go great with... the Sloppy Joe Sliders, the Big Ben Eggs, or the Buffalo Feather Ceasar Salad. Hours: Open Mon 12am-1am, 11am-1am; Tue-Fri 11am-2am; Sat 9am-2am; Sun 9am-12am

Chappy's on Church is a new addition to Nashville. The owner relocated from Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina demolished the previous restaurant in 2005. Bad for Chappy, good for Nashville. The 4 course weekend brunch is the kicker, with all you can drink champaign. Re-read the latter. If you're not a champaign drinker, then hit up the bloody mary, in which Chappy puts a signature blend of spices instead of Tabasco. Hours: Open Weekdays 11am-2pm, 5pm-10pm; Weekends 11am-10pm

So, fine. They don't make their own mix. But they use Zing Zang's, the delicious mix that is served at the Masters every year (and consequently hard to find around Nashville supermarkets and liquor stores). Great big oak bar where you'll find many other like-minded drinkers on any given sneaky Sunday. The buck stops here for knife-and-fork baby back ribs. Hours: Sun-Thu 11am-10pm Fri-Sat 11am-11pm

Bartender Keith concocts the mix from scratch. Traditional garnish with a celery stick. Ultimately, a strong to very strong homemade Mary. Great brunch, but also not bad for romantic dining. Wouldn't mix the romance with the brunch, though. Hours: Mon-Fri 11am-10pm, Sat 5pm-10pm, Sun 11am-3pm

Though the room is dim, each table is a well-lit, intimate space. There's also a bar, which eases the burden of long waits during peak dining times. Lunch and dinner crowds are usually large, so take advantage of the call-ahead seating. Portions are large and tasty, sauces, preparation, side dishes are outstanding. There is a lot of choices on the menu and all is reasonably priced. Hours: Sun-Thu 11am-10pm, Fri-Sat 11am-11pm

Although it's located inside the bar Tribe, this restaurant is soundproofed from the pounding club music. True to its name, this trendy dinner and Sunday brunch destination features red walls and red fabric-upholstered chairs. Sunday brunch is accompanied by jazz. Main dishes include a smoked Gouda-stuffed chicken breast and the petite filet topped with hoisin butter and served with wasabi mashed potatoes. The patio is a great spot to sit around and hang out with friends. Hours: Mon-Thu 5pm-10pm, , Fri-Sat 5pm-11pm, Sun 11am-3pm
