Ahhh, you gotta love living in Minnesota. 25 oz. tap beers for $3.25. It's truly a beautiful thing. Or you could splurge and get a Guinness or Stella for $3.50. The Excelsior Tavern is a great place to hang out during the summer months. Look over beautiful Lake Minnetonka, eat satisfying food and mingle with the always fun and attractive local 'Sotens. Open Mon-Sat 11am-1am; Sun 10am-12pm

It's easy to see why Matt's has a large contingency of loyal fans. It's the very definition of keeping it real. Real tasty, real simple and real bad for you. It's the home of the Jucy Lucy, which sounds kinda dirty, but be assured, it's heaven on a bun. The fries also hit the spot and you can wash it all down with cheap beer. Many claim to have the best burger in the world, Matt's has a pretty good a case. Matt's been around for quite some time for good reason. Hours: Mon-Wed 11am-12am, Thu-Sat 11am-1am, Sun 12pm-12am

If you're looking for a classic, wholesome, Italian night out, Luci is the place for you. Pasta dishes will make you fall back in love with Italian food. They have an excellent special on Tuesday nights, a four-course tasters dinner for $20.00 per person if you have four people. It requires a little bit of math, but it's worth it for a delightful evening at a place where they put care and heart into everything they offer. You'll feel like you're back in the old country. Hours - Mon: 5:30pm – 9pm; Tue: 11:30am – 2pm, 5:30pm – 9pm: Wed: 11:30am – 2pm, 5:30pm – 9pm; Thu: 11:30am – 2pm, 5:30pm – 9pm; Fri: 11:30am – 2pm, 5:30pm – 10pm; Sat: 5:30pm – 10pm, Sun: 5pm – 9pm

Best BBQ in the Twin Cities period. The ribs, sauce and creamy slaw is why you go, but don’t be afraid to try a few other tasty delights. Especially if you’ve already had the ribs five days in a row. The garlic mash potatoes rule. The chicken and steak are both damn good. And it wouldn’t be 'sota que without the Walleye, offered sauteed as a sandwich topped with the famous slaw. Get there early on a weekend evening and get a slow-cooked prime rib special that’ll melt in your mouth, and by early we mean 4:00 pm. The ambience is great, the prices are right and they’ve got a killer happy hour from 4 to 7 and 10 to close every night but Saturday. But Saturday is still happy. Open Mon 12am-2am, 11am-2am; Tue-Sat 11am-2am; Sun 11am-12am
